about us
A love story brought Katy and Stéphane Strouk from Paris to Los Angeles in the early 1990s, where they opened a small cheese counter at the Original Farmers Market and named it Monsieur Marcel, after Stéphane's father. Three decades later, that passion has grown into one of LA's most beloved gourmet destinations—a world-class market with cheese, charcuterie, wine, a French bistro, seafood market, seafood grill & oyster bar, and a home store. Your membership supports the legacy and team they've built together.
Can I sign up if I'm outside LA?
For now, we're keeping it close to home — local pickup and LA local delivery only.
When do I receive my first order?
Your first order arrives the month after you sign up. Join in July, and your first box lands in August. We'll email you at the beginning of each month with your exact pickup or delivery date — usually on the same day and week each month (for example, the third Thursday).
When will I be charged?
Memberships are month-to-month, billed one order in advance. For example, you’ll be charged at the end of September for your October order. It gives our team time to plan and prepare thoughtfully for you.
What if I'm not available for my order for one month?
Skip a month, pause, or cancel anytime through your account at mrmarcel.com, as long as you do so before the stated deadline. No emails, no phone calls, no fuss.
