This is a powerful, classic Left Bank Bordeaux with deep notes of black-currant and blackberry fruit, layered with cedar, graphite, tobacco, and forest-floor notes. Fuller-bodied and structured, it offers firm yet ripe tannins, rich depth, and a long, mineral-tinged finish. Built for aging, this wine rewards decanting and is still evolving beautifully.
These reserve wines from legendary chateaux and historic vintages have been kept in temperature-controlled settings and moved minimally throughout their lives. We highly recommend storing them in a cool, dry place--if not a temperature-controlled refrigerator--horizontally to keep the corks moist and healthy. Finally, we strongly suggest using ONLY a two-prong bottle opener, often called an Ah-So wine opener or butler's friend, which allows you to extract a cork without puncturing it, critical for older bottles, as the cork may become brittle and break if using a classic corkscrew.
