The finest expression of Pontet-Canet in the modern era, the 2010 vintage marks a historic milestone as the estate's first to be fully certified organic and biodynamic. Crimson shading to black in hue, it opens with a vividly complex bouquet of violet, blackberry, redcurrant, and cherry, revealing extraordinary aromatic depth. On the palate, radiant fruit, refined freshness, and impeccably structured tannins converge in a wine of remarkable length, elegance, and lasting finesse.
These reserve wines from legendary chateaux and historic vintages have been kept in temperature-controlled settings and moved minimally throughout their lives. We highly recommend storing them in a cool, dry place--if not a temperature-controlled refrigerator--horizontally to keep the corks moist and healthy. Finally, we strongly suggest using ONLY a two-prong bottle opener, often called an Ah-So wine opener or butler's friend, which allows you to extract a cork without puncturing it, critical for older bottles, as the cork may become brittle and break if using a classic corkscrew.
