Comoz Blanc Vermouth, produced by Maison Dolin from Jean-Pierre Comoz’s original 1881 recipe, is a revival of one of Chambéry’s most historic and distinctive aperitifs. Recognized as possibly the first clear vermouth ever made, it features a restrained sweetness and elegant balance of stone fruit, alpine botanicals, and a firm wormwood backbone, all drawn from the local terroir above Chambéry. Once the defining ingredient in Cuba’s legendary El Presidente cocktail, Comoz Blanc has been faithfully reintroduced by Dolin and Haus Alpenz, preserving a vital chapter of classic cocktail history.
